Sealing your new stucco finish is a wise move for a numbers of reasons. First and foremost, you need to protect your new investment. Sealing stucco will offer long lasting protection from the elements while still retaining the surface's natural appearance, and most importantly – vapor permeability.

LA Stucco recommends and uses 'OmegaGuard' from Omega Products. OmegaGuard is an excellent repellant; increasing the substrate's overall weatherability and stain resistance. OmegaGuard's moisture protection also protects its substrate against free-thaw cycles; allowing for easy maintenance.

OmegaGuard is a silicon-based, clear and non-yellowing formula which has a non-sheen finish to retain your stucco's natural look and feel. Sealing stucco protects against discoloration by preventing water borne staining contaminants from penetrating the surface. A treated surface can also be cleaned with ease, by introducing a simple jet stream of water.

Sealing stucco also helps to protect your new stucco surface against the harsh effects of the sun. Stucco fading is a common issue, especially at the darker end of the color range.
